The successful candidate will work closely with Distinguished Professor Yong P. Chen and other members of the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University, engaging in research activities on quantum materials and devices. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who can conduct magnetotransport and related experimental study on two-dimensional magnetic, topological or/and superconducting quantum materials and hybrid heterostructures based on such materials.  We are particularly interested in candidates with strong expertise and skills in the following areas: 1) materials fabrication techniques such as crystal or thin film growth, or 2D materials exfoliation and transfer; 2) clean room based device fabrication using lithography; 3) low temperature magnetotransport.

Qualifications

Applicant must hold a PhD degree, or must be expected to receive a PhD degree before the employment.

Full-time, Discretionary Working System for Professional Work, Non-tenured: 2 years (No reappointment)
