(1)   Development of original application programs for computational materials science: target area includes various fields of computational materials physics and computational materials engineering for functional materials and structural materials.
(2)    Implementation of phase-field simulations of alloy solidification or molecular dynamics simulations of solid/liquid system for the K supercomputer in collaboration with a research group in CDMSI (Prof. M. Ohno at Hokkaido Univ., Prof. Shibuta at Univ. of Tokyo and Prof. Takaki at Kyoto Inst. Tech.)
Qualifications

Ph.D or equivalent in the area of Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering with the background of computational science
Starting date

Jan. 1, 2019 (Starting date is negotiable.)
Employment status Full-time   Non‐tenured (until March 31, 2020)
Location
 His/her office is located at IMR (Institute for Materials Research), but for the fiscal year of 2019 (April 2019- March 2020), his/her affiliation may be changed from IMR to one of the three places mentioned above.
Compensation
 In addition to salary, commuting benefit is paid and social insurance is secured.
