Job Content

We are looking for researchers who are willing to cooperate with Professor Yusuke Nomura in promoting research of Group B01 “Fundamental Theory and Design of Asymmetric Quantum Matters” in the Research Area of Scientific Transformation (A) “Visualization, Design, and Creation of Quantum Materials Colored by Asymmetry” [Area Representative: Takahiro Onimaru (Hiroshima University)]. In this project, we will develop a fundamental theory of asymmetric quantum matters and carry out materials design based on computational materials science. Expertise in any of the following is desirable.

  • Theory of solid state physics
  • Quantum many-body theory
  • First-principles calculations
  • Materials design
  • Methods of data science

Three research positions are available in research group B01 (one position at Dept. of Physics, Tohoku Univ. and one position at Tokyo Metropolitan Univ., in addition to this open position). If you wish to apply for more than one position, please contact one of the host researchers in advance.

Qualifications

Applicant must hold a PhD degree, or must be expected to receive a PhD degree before the employment.

Employment status

Full-time    Non‐tenured

Employment contracts are made on a yearly basis and may be renewed until March 31, 2028.
