Promoting research and development of new advanced materials at the Cooperative Research and Development Center for Advanced Materials (CRDAM) of the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University. In particular, this professor belongs to the Industry-Academia Collaboration (IAC) Division of CRDAM, and leads the industry-academia-government collaboration activities of IMR.

Qualifications

Applicant must hold a PhD degree

This professor should have excellent research achievements in the field of materials science and sufficient experience in industry-academia-government collaboration activities at the university. In particular, the professor should have sufficient experience in supporting and coordinating joint research with industry, obtaining and managing large-scale projects, etc. from ministries and public research funding agencies, and international activities such as supporting collaboration with overseas research institutions, etc.
