| Research field and Desired researcher | PCoMS Project invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Hayato Shiba, launching a group as a Project Assistant Professor in Jan. 2016 at IMR, Tohoku University. The successful candidate is going to carry out computational materials science studies on glassy materials / energy-storage materials using high performance computing technologies based on classical molecular dynamics simulations methods and/or coarse-grained modeling techniques. Experience in computational study in the field of materials science / condensed matter physics / molecular science on liquids, glasses, and soft matter would be an advantage. |

Full-time Contract needs to be renewed every fiscal year, which starts on April 1, and may possibly be extended up to March 31, 2020. The applicant will be hired as a member of PCoMS project, which is built as a consortium in the field of computational science establishing partnerships between IMR at Tohoku Univ., ISSP at Univ. of Tokyo, IMS at NINS, and INSD at Osaka University, aiming at fostering next generation researchers. |
