Research field and Desired researcher
PCoMS project seeks one or two postdoctoral researcher(s) working at IMR. The successful candidate(s) is going to carry out computational studies on material science, physics and/or chemistry with one of the category as follows:

Category A: The successful candidate will carry out theoretical studies on the photochemistry and photophysics of photofunctional materials (molecule, solid etc.) using advanced electronic structure theories and reaction dynamics simulations. Experiences on photofunctional systems and/or chemical reactions in material science, condensed matter physics, AMO physics, and/or physical chemistry are considered as asset. Mutual communication skills for the interplay with experimental collaborators are desirable.

Category B: The successful candidate will carry out computational studies of liquids and soft matter using classical molecular dynamics simulation. Topics will include thermal, mechanical, and dynamical properties of glasses or physicochemical properties of electrolyte liquids at interfaces. His/her will also be involved in development of framework software that facilitates massively parallel molecular simulation to directly access the mesoscopic properties from molecular level. Experience in parallel simulation coding is an advantage for consideration.
