Professor Emeritus Koki Takanashi named among IEEE Fellow Class of 2026

Koki Takanashi, Professor Emeritus of Tohoku University, has been selected as an IEEE Fellow.  This prestigious title is awarded only to individuals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in the advancement and application of engineering, science, and technology, and whose contributions have brought significant value to society as a whole.
 
Dr. Takanashi has devoted many years to education and research at the Institute for Materials Research (Magnetic Materials Research Laboratory), and served as the 21st Director from FY2014 to FY2019. He is currently leading research as the Director of the Advanced Science Research Center at Nuclear Science Research Institute of Japan Atomic Energy Agency.
