Tadashi Furuhara, Professor of the Microstructure Design of Structural Metallic Materials Research Laboratory at the Institute of Materials Research, has been made a Fellow of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS).
The Class of Fellow is TMS’s highest honor and is awarded to a candidate recognized as a leading authority and contributor to the practice of metallurgy, materials science, and technology. Professor Furuhara will be the fourth Japanese recipient of this award since its establishment in 1963. The award will be presented on March 26, 2025, at the TMS 2025 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
