| detail | KINKEN-WAKATE is an official annual event of Institute for Materials Research (IMR) since 2004. Attendies can learn advanced materials science and novel experimental techniques by the experts' lectures for young researchers and graduate students. In 2012, the theme of this school is "Materials Science by Neutrons and X-rays". We will give lectures about introduction of neutron and X-ray scattering and its applications in novel materials science. As participants, the organisers expect young researchers and students who are interested in investigations using neutrons and X-rays, but have NO experience of such experiments. Thus, the KINKEN-WAKATE is a good opportunity to know basic properties of neutron and X-rays elastic and inelastic scattering, and excellent results of materials science by neutron and X-ray scattering as well. |
